Established 30 years ago, our department has recently grown more than 25 members. 
 
Our members provide fire suppression, medical first responder and emergency services to Quinan, Springhaven and district. With neighboring departments, we work collaboratively through mutual aid agreements. 
 
The Quinan and District Volunteer Fire Department strives to have adequate equipment, keep its volunteers up-to-date with the latest training and offer quality service to the area and citizens for which it is responsible. 
 
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter in the Quinan and District Volunteer Fire Department? Are you ready and able to help in time of need and trouble? Becoming a volunteer firefighter is quite easy - we are always looking for new members! Membership involves attending training sessions, responding to fire calls, accidents and other emergencies; and attending monthly meetings. From traffic control to pump operators, truck drivers to front line firefighters, there are tasks for everyone. 
 
Courses/certification, but not limited to, offered free of charge to volunteer firefighters: 
-First Aid/CPR 
-NFPA 1001; Level 1 
-Medical First Responder 
-Traffic Control 
-Air Brake Endorsement
