The school renovation project has added four new classrooms to the Clarks Harbour school, including the new music room/stage, and a new 5,400 square foot (502 square meters) gymnasium, featuring a separate entrance to allow for easier community access to the facility. 
 
Interior renovations, which will convert the school’s existing gymnasium into a cafeteria, and exterior improvements such as a new soccer field and paved bus loop are also part of the plan. 
 
The Clarks Harbour Elementary School will become a Primary to Grade 6 consolidated school for all elementary students on Cape Sable Island. An estimated 200 students will attend the facility.
