Information
Welcome to the 55+ games. We will be hosting the games on September 13 -1 6 in Lunenburg County. We have 25 activities and sports for you to pick from and the $35 to join the NS 55+ Society entitles you to take part in as many events as you can without scheduling conflicts. Note: Several events have additional charges.
Please check out the website on a regular bases because there will be additions every week. Besides the games, we planning several pop-up coffee shops, plenty of Lunenburg County entertainment, an Active Senior/Healthy Senor Health Fair, a great closing banquet and much more. Keep checking back for updates.
If you are new to the games, they are hosted in Nova Scotia every second year. The events and sports are broken down into three categories: passive, mildly active and active. Although we are crowning provincial champions, the overall motto of the games is Fun, Fitness and Friendship and this will be evident throughout the entire event. So sign up but if you do not want to compete, you can sign up as a non-participant and take advantage of everything else that we have to offer.
