Information
Walk the spectacular cliff-side nature trail to the famous sea caves or "Ovens" for which the park was named.
Experience the Park's fascinating gold rush history, unique geology and diverse coastal environment as you enjoy our self-guided tour along the beautiful sea cliff trail that leads to the famous Ovens Sea caves.
High points of the tour are the visits to Tucker's Tunnel, the overlook at Indian Cave and finally, spectacular Cannon Cave, where you will be able to hear the resounding boom created as the waves enter the cavern.
This is an easy 1 hour tour.
Folks come to visit us from all over the world, or locals come down to enjoy themselves and/or bring their friends and houseguests. The Ovens seacaves are quite unique and well worth the visit. Other day visit activities are gold panning, yes gold panning. The Ovens Natural Park is the site of a gold rush in 1861, and lots of gold was found here. To this day folks come here to find their fortune. We rent and sell gold pans in the little general store here at the park. To make a reservation to camp (tent or RV or cabin) please contact us by email or phone.
We offer some of the best camping in all of Nova Scotia.
