Kerry Copeland, Kids’ Run Club Program Coordinator
Description & Services
Kids’ Run Club is a free school-based running program designed to give children and youth an opportunity to be active through running.
The goal of Kids’ Run Club is to give children and youth a chance to be active and to learn about healthy lifestyles. The best part about the Kids’ Run Club is, it doesn’t matter if participants have run before or if they’re already physically fit. This club teaches participants about proper technique and pacing, and how to balance the challenge of running with taking breaks so that all experience success, not to mention fun!
You don’t need to be a runner or even have any experience with running. The kids in this program simply need a champion – someone to make sure they are safe and having fun! If you’re a teacher looking to expand your curriculum, the Kids’ Run Club is just what you need! If you’re a parent interested in becoming more involved in your kid’s school, the Kids’ Run Club is the opportunity you’ve been searching for!
You will find all the information you need about this great program, including great support information on the Doctors Nova Scotia website.
