Description & Services

Information
Join us for a walk through a field of sunflowers or relax at the shaded picnic area and take in the beautiful view of the tidal Avon River and the cattle grazing on the historic Dakeyne Farm (Mount Denson).

You can even watch kites flying in the breeze or fly one yourself, get your photo taken in the “photo booths” or buy a flower for $2 or 3/$5.

We will stop for lunch at the Evangeline Inn & Motel’s Café, renowned for fresh fish chowder, scones, burgers and homemade pies, etc.

The café (known as Stirlings) maintains the character and atmosphere of yesteryear with very reasonable rates. Then it’s off to Hennigar’s Farm Market (near Wolfville) for fresh produce, baked goods or an ice cream.

Our last stop will be to the beautiful historic Grand Pre Winery (Domaine de Grand Pre) where we will tour the property, sample 6 wines, and learn about the history of the property and area. It will be a lovely day you don’t want to miss!

Wed., August 6, 2014 (Rain Date Aug. 7), 9:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
$43.48 + $6.52 HST = $50
(Includes admission to Dakeyne Farm & Wine Sampling.)

For each of our bus trips, we will travel in a coach equipped with a washroom, air conditioning, tour windows and high back seating with seat belts. RELAX & ENJOY! All bus trips depart from the Bridgewater Arena.
