The Town has developed a 3.5 km section of the abandoned rail line in Town as a trail.The trail is maintained for active transportation and recreational use. Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the trail. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times. This section of trail links with a section managed by the Municipality of Shelburne that runs from the Roseway River to the Islands Provincial Park NOTE: The Municipality of Shelburne is hosting a group walk on October 2Oth 10am-noon. We will be meeting at Islands Park. We will begin on the Roseway River trail and follow the Rail trail until the firehall then turn around. The event is free, however, registration is required.
