Spring Sports Day

Following the success of our first event last fall, the Municipality of the District of Shelburne Recreation & Parks Department will be hosting Spring Sports Day on May 23rd, 11am-2pm at the Shelburne Regional High School. Spring Sports Day is a FREE event that gives children, youth and adults of all abilities the opportunity to try a variety of sports. Each sport will be hosted by a community instructor, volunteer or specific sport organization and will be held on the soccer field, outdoor courts and gym. Sports will include Field Hockey, Archery, Rugby, Active Start Soccer, Run Jump Throw (Track & Field for kids), Ground Hockey, Pickle-Ball, Table Tennis, Ringette and Indoor Sledge Hockey. Ramps will be set up outside for skateboards, scooters and bicycles. There will also be prize draws! The more sports you try the more chances you have to win. Stop by and give a sport a try!

Also taking place that afternoon from 1-2pm at SRHS (outside) is the free RCMP Bike Rodeo for children ages 4-12. Hosted by Shelburne RCMP, participants will learn the rules of the road, test their biking skills, get tips for staying safe and have a chance to win prizes. Participants must bring their own bike and helmet.
