Bike Week is an annual event to celebrate cycling in Lunenburg County and promote the benefits of cycling for active transportation and recreation!

10 Days of Cycling Pledge
Sign up and pledge to ride your bike everyday for the 10 days of Bike Week! Your name will be entered in a draw for a basket full of amazing cycling swag! Post a photo during one of your bike rides on the South Shore Connect Facebook page using hashtag #10daysofcycling and have your name entered again for more chances to win! Sign up at www.bridgewater.ca.
Punch Card Challenge
This mini version of Bridgewater Parks & Recreation’s popular Punch Card Challenge will be set up during Bike Week. Hop on your bike and locate six top secret punch stations along the Centennial Trail. Pick up a map with hints to get to the locations at the Bridgewater Parks & Recreation office at 60 Pleasant Street in Bridgewater. Once you find all the locations & punch your card, return to the office to win prizes!
Deals at Local Businesses
Visit some of Bridgewater’s amazing local businesses and restaurants while you’re out for a bike ride and receive deals at participating businesses! Bring in your helmet and receive a discount or gift with purchase at the following downtown businesses during Bike Week! For more on these great deals, see below!

Bike Parade & Celebration
1PM Meet @ Centennial Trail behind Most Wanted Pawn, 360 LaHave St, Bridgewater
Join the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg as they get to the finish line of their 75km ride on their brand new electric bicycle! Join the bicycle parade through downtown Bridgewater and then meet up at the MODL office for a celebration at 2PM.

The United Way of Lunenburg County Bikes for Kids program will be distributing nearly 60 bikes to families who qualify through the PRO Kids program. Bike selection & registration begins May 16 & bike pick-up is June 8. For more information contact your local PRO Kids representative.
