In 1943 four women from Blockhouse and Mahone Bay rode their bikes to PEI to see the Don Messer Show. Their story is told by Ann Barry in her book “Sweet Ride”.
This summer, on July 28, there will be a group ride to celebrate the 75th anniversary of their ride.

July 28, 2018, 9:30 AM. (Rain Date July 29)
Route 1: Cilantro (Blockhouse) to Chester Train Station (Trail)
Route 2: Mahone Bay to Western Shore on the trail and return
$20 suggested donation. Proceeds go to the Second Story Women’s Centre and Jumpstart
