We are the only Women's Institute in Shelburne County. With 12 members strong we are very active in community activities. 
 
Our current project is reflective armbands for grade 5 students in Lockeport and Shelburne. We have made 200 with demand for more!  
 
"Watch the Pot" project is a slow cooker based course aimed to food bank users. We have a certified dietician to provide healthy meal information and recipes! 
 
We quilt! Our quilts get donated to our local food bank and to The Brunswick Street Mission in Halifax. 
 
We join with the Yarmouth Women's Institute twice a year for a district rally and auction fundraiser! 
 
"Hero's Celebration" Each year we have a Hero's Celebration to give acknowledgement to the volunteers in our community who graciously donate their time to make our community a safer and better place to live in. 
 
"Halloween St. Martin's Day Celebration" European celebration and parade. 
 
We also sponsor and distribute a monthly activity calendar, please contact us to be put on our email distribution list! 
 
We also put forward resolutions to the provincial government.
