Information
The New Ross Family Resource Center was a established March of 1997, and is located in the "Old School" in the community of New Ross. We are a non-profit organization designed to promote the health and well being of families residing in the New Ross area. We have developed a wide range of community based programs and services, which acknowledge the needs of the people of New Ross, reducing the feeling of isolation and providing an atmosphere where all are welcome.
Playgroup: Activities include crafts, songs, music, games, stories, and a healthy snack is provided. Suggested age is birth to 5 years. Program offered Mondays 10:00am to 11:30am and it's free. Caregivers can socialize and enjoy a hot beverage.
Summer Programs: We offer a variety of summer programs to children and youth in the summer.
Walking Club: Every Tuesday at 10am.
Evening Yoga throughout the year.
Prenatal program, a great way to learn more about pregnancy, childbirth, meeting other mom's and having a new baby.
Nobody's Perfect For parents with children birth to age 5 where parents come together to solve parenting concerns and questions with qualified staff.
Rainbows fosters emotional healing among children, grieving from a loss or life-altering crisis.
Girl Talk is for girls ages 9 to 12 a group setting to talk about things that are important to them.
Second Story Women's Centre Counsellor, Nicole Robinson comes every second Thursday.
Blood Collection services every second Thursday with a registered Nurse, contact Colleen Hull at 902-624-0406.
