The New Ross Farmers Association hosts the New Ross Community Fair on the third Friday and Saturday in August. 
 
New Ross Community Fair – two days filled with entertainment for all members of the family. Horse and Ox Pulling. Charing Cross Garden Club Flower Show. Home Cooked Meals. Christmas Tree Competition. Handicraft Exhibits. 4-H Displays. Bingo.  
 
Friday only: Horse & Ox Challenges and Junior Teamster Ox Pull and music by Yesterday Band (7 pm) and Lost Vegas (8:30 pm) also Tug- of- War (8 pm) 
 
Saturday only: Light Horse Events, Children's Parade, Children's Activities, Chainsaw Filing/Fast Cut and Hot Saw & Antique Saw Fast Cut Competitions, Arm Wrestling Competition and Horse & Ox Pull-Offs and music by: Arnwarn and the Still Fired Band (2 pm) and The Shoreline (8 pm)
