The Chester Gingerbread Festival is a celebration of Christmas and all things Gingerbread in the Village of Chester NS. 
 
In November 2010 Five gingerbread replicas of historic chester buildings were "built" by Christina Wentzell. The miniature structures were displayed around the Village of Chester at various locations by the Chester Village Merchants group. The event was a collaborative effort between the Chester Art Centre,The Village Merchants and The Chester Playhouse. 
 
In a few years the Gingerbread Festival has grown to include a gingerbread house competition for all ages, a wonderful Christmas Gingerbread Market as well as hundreds of creative wooden gingerbread me displayed throughout the village.
