Information
The Mersey Band is a community band dedicated to promoting and performing traditional band music both in concert and on the march
Our Mission
We have members of all ages and skill levels. We encourage anyone interested in learning an instrument to get in touch with us and join the fun.
Our members participate in a wide range of local events including summer festivals, Christmas concerts, and parades.
Our History
The Mersey Band is one of the oldest and most respected organizations on the South Shore. The band dates back to the founding of the Bowater mill in Liverpool in the 1930's.
The band has participated in hundreds of parades and concerts and never misses an opportunity to add music to local events.
Meetings
The band rehearses every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Milton Hall in Milton, Nova Scotia.
We are always looking for new members. If you already play an instrument or have always wanted to learn this is your chance! Drop in and introduce yourself.
