Description & Services

Information
Located on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia, Queens Early Childhood Development Association offers special services to families of children with developmental challenges.

These services are available to each family in their own home, because it is in the home that children are the most relaxed, happy and ready to learn.

In today's busy world, we believe that parents want help that is very practical. So, we try to find solutions that fit with each family's lifestyle.

Queens Early Childhood Development Association is one of 21 Early Intervention programs located across Nova Scotia and is closely affiliated with the Early Intervention Association of Nova Scotia.

It is our goal that your family will become well informed about your child's developmental disorder, confident in your own ability to help her, committed to caring for her and to advocating for the most appropriate services for them.

We believe that every child is a child of promise. We want to help each child to do his best to lead a productive and happy life in his/her family, in his community and in his school.

Our services are available to any family who has a child with special needs, if:
you live in the county of Queens and
your child is an infant, toddler or preschooler and
your child has a developmental delay or
your child is at risk for developmental delay because of a diagnosis or a biological risk.

We offer the following services to families:

Home visiting, Summer Play Group, Toy and Resource lending library, Networking and Support
