Information
Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Bluenose Golden K. We are located in Bridgewater on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia. Our Club was chartered on September 19, 1989.
We currently enjoy a membership of twenty-seven very dedicated men and women. Our members bring a wealth of experience to the table having been involved in many different occupations during their working years, as varied as farming, military service, nursing, fishing, business owners, teaching, etc. Our members live in Bridgewater and surrounding communities such as Newcombville, Pine Grove, Lillydale, West Dublin and Conquerall Mills to name a few.
“Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world
one child and one community at a time.”
We support the Kiwanis focus on children, however, being a Golden K Club we are very much in tune with the needs and concerns of our senior citizens. We are also involved in community programs that benefit all ages. In all things we do, we are guided by the Objects of Kiwanis.
Our involvement with Meals on Wheels, the Better Together Resource Centre, the Lunenburg/Queens Parkinson Support Group, Northwood In Touch, Senior Wheels, Park View Education Centre Key Club, and Key Leader are just a few of the ways we serve our communities - both young and old.
