Information
A CKC sanctioned club which hosts annually 2 All Breed Championship dog shows, 2 All Breed Obedience Trials and 2 Rally Obedience Trials along Nova Scotia’s South Shore.
The objectives of the club:
- advance the best interest of the dog and the dog fancier in all matters
- encourage and support Dog Shows and Obedience Trials for competition and public interest
- emphasize to the public the importance and merit of pure breeding and of purebred registered dogs
- foster and maintain among ourselves a warm friendship and high degree of sportsmanship
- promote the interest and up-hold the bylaws of the Canadian Kennel Club
- ensure that the SSKC will not be conducted or operated for profit
What else does the club do?
- members and their dogs participate in visitations to senior citizens’ homes and local hospitals
- supports the SPCA and 4-H
- supports the Junior Handling program
- sponsors junior handling competitions in conjunction with its Conformation Shows and Obedience Trials
- host several Junior Handling Provincial Final competitions
- assist any person contemplating purchasing a puppy

Meetings
