Information
Mission: To provide programs for adults with special challenges in an environment that fosters happiness through increased wellness and ever more fully realized citizenship in the larger community.
The Ark is a place of supported employment, vocational training and programs in health and education. They provide a dynamic and motivational learning environment aimed at meeting individual needs and focusing on personal choices. The programs enable participants to gain work experience, providing specific training in areas such as caning, rug hooking, horticulture, woodworking and retail practice. Through the Workplace Education Programs, workers are able to gain skills in the area of literacy, mathematics, and computer technology.
The Ark emphasizes positive work activity, healthy living concepts, creative activity programs and supported community employment which promotes growth towards independence. Check out the Ark's Shredding business. Or their Envelope Inserting/Folding and Sealing business!
