David was born here in Bridgewater on August 18, 1983. He was an active individual and and enjoyed various sports. After signing up for Little Rocks at the Bridgewater Curling Club, he quickly found himself forming a team and entering bonspiels around the province with his friends.  
 
David was a friend to everyone, enemy to no one. When Dave was diagnosed with cancer, he didn’t back down or feel sorry for himself. An inspiration to everyone he met, Dave’s memory live on in all of us.  
 
The David Atkinson Memorial Bonspiel offers the opportunity for curlers and non curlers to come together, meet new people, have some fun, and raise money for a great cause.
