Information
The Lunenburg County YMCA (a branch of the YMCA of Southwest Nova Scotia) is a registered charity dedicated to promoting growth of our people in Spirit, Mind and Body. As a charitable organization, the YMCA invests all its resources in the provision of programs and services focused on wellness, health and fitness, childcare and personal development needs of all.
In the delivery of all its programs, services and activities, the Lunenburg County YMCA is guided by the following core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Inclusiveness
Lunenburg County features YMCA
3100 square foot strength and cardio centre with Life Fitness, Precor and Cybex cardio equipment, elliptical trainers, treadmills, stairmasters, arc trainers, rowers, upright, recumbent bikes and spin cycles, strength training equipment plus a free weight and stretching area.
2000 square foot aerobics room with stability balls, free weights, steps, tubing, yoga balls and more
Spacious locker rooms with shower facilities and saunas
Child minding
Scheduled use of the NSCC gymnasium
Group fitness classes, fitness leadership courses, weight room instruction, workshops, recreational sports, after school activities, preschool programs and more!
Licensed childcare facility

The YMCA is a membership organization open to all people.
The YMCA welcomes women and men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientation, abilities and financial circumstances.
Financial assistance, to the extent possible, is available for those in need.

Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 10:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

Monday through Friday mornings 9:15am – 11:30am
*Please inquire as to availability on in-service days
