Description & Services
Information
The Western NS Exhibition is located on the property of the Mariner’s Centre, a complex with 2 inside arenas. We feature commercial displays, the South West Nova Cultural and Arts Extravaganza, and Fine Art competitions (Cooking, Flowers, Hand crafts, Hobby crafts, Home Brewing, Photography, Rug Hooking, and Vegetables). In 2017, we held a Monte Carlo Blackjack Tournament with local businesses as a fundraiser towards the newly purchased portable bleachers. We also have musical entertainment in the Main Arena on the Main Stage. The Tri-County Talent Search is a well attended daily competition as well on the Main Stage as well.
The Anthony Pavilion is a multipurpose facility located behind the main building; with portable stalls that house all the livestock (oxen, light horse, draft horse, mini horse and 4-H animals) in one building.
A Cover-all building houses lots of different breeds of animals, big and small and is known as the Kiddie Farm. This is one of the most visited attractions by young and old alike!
For safety we have a No Go Zones for patrons, traffic flow for livestock, and very few vehicles permitted on grounds. This has provided us with the opportunity to include more demo areas, commercial space and a much nicer traffic flow.
Check out www.wnse.ca for updates and the schedule of events, entry information or registration and contact information.
Volunteers are always needed to continue the success of the Exhibition please contact us if your interested!
