For our final day of exploring as South Shore Connectors, we took to the water. We spent the day kayaking around the LaHave Islands in Lunenburg County.

Our trip began with a launch from Crescent Beach, and we soon discovered that this is a great place for kayaking. The area between the islands is sheltered and not as rough on windy days. If you’d like to explore the area by kayak (or another waterway), Paddle Lunenburg Queens is your go-to resource.

Although the water may have been a bit cold for swimming (as Nova Scotians are accustomed to), being out on the water was the perfect place to be on this sunny day. Stopping for a picnic on your own private beach is a great summertime experience!
